Tucked away in the Murraylands of South Australia, Modify, a local steel framing business, was building their reputation on the back of quality and tapping into their network, but had larger aspirations to enter the commercial market. That meant stepping out of a purely local, word-of-mouth space and into an arena where bigger builders, developers, and specifiers needed a reason to trust a name they hadn't worked with before.
The brand needed to embody the same qualities as the steel itself. True and built to last. So, we started from the inside out, reflecting on what Modify's core values really were. With twenty years of family owned experience, they're a proudly local, 'true blue' business, who are trustworthy, honest, genuine, and carry an unmistakably Aussie larrikin spirit. This gave us a platform to build from, creating a solution that was a complete, bold brand system, one that could hold its own in a commercial pitch while still sounding like the same business the Murraylands had always known.
We began with the logotype, a custom designed piece that was designed to feel strong and sturdy, with a structural, framework-like quality that echoes the steel it represents, built from 45 and 90 degree angles. Every line was intentional, a visual shorthand for precision and engineering rather than decoration for its own sake. Everything for Modify begins and ends with blue steel (yes, we find it hard not to think Zoolander as well) and so we started with a colour palette of cool, blue-derived tones, drawn straight from the material itself, because blue was never just a colour here, it's a character trait for the entire business. It reads as dependable and no-nonsense, the same way the product does.

This pared back thinking continued into a series of punchy two-word taglines, think 'Built Once', 'Future Proof', 'Building Redefined' and 'Certified Tough'. Each one distilling the brand promise down to the product essentials – no rot, no warping, no termites, no do-overs, just a house frame that's made to outlast the building around it. Short enough to sit on a hard hat sticker, sharp enough to hold up on a commercial tender document.
To bring those taglines to life, we ran a dedicated photo and video shoot, giving Modify a library of imagery and footage as considered and consistent as the brand itself. From raw steel on the workshop floor to completed frames on site, the content was built to show the process as much as the product, proof that the quality claims weren't just words on a page.
With a robust identity and content library in place, we had an intentional, strategic foundation to design and build Modify's website – their complete storefront. As a Webflow agency with years of experience building strong front end experiences, we combined structured discovery, thoughtful UX design, and a scalable build to create a platform that's genuinely future proof, easy to manage, simple to extend, and aligned with how Modify's customers actually research and make decisions. Every page was built to answer the questions a commercial buyer would actually ask, not just showcase the brand. The result is a high performing website that works as an active sales tool, not just a digital brochure.

Together, the brand identity, content library and website we created gave Modify an intentional, but also strategic foundation for sustained growth, ensuring their reputation for quality now has a voice as solid as the steel it's built on, and one that's ready to be heard well beyond the Murraylands.
